Good Evening Michael. its pleasant to talk with you again as always.
I'd like to go back to a conversation we started many years ago. it was about your relationship to religious leaders of today.
Most of the religious leaders of your generation have been forthright and sincere individuals who honestly seek a better understandig of How the Universe Works. They also seek to foster spiritual growth among their adherents. Which in the long run will be beneficial because any attempt to reach me through prayer or conversation will be met likewise. Any one who encourages this type of discourse is also benefitting mankind and his environment.
I had expected a harder condemnation of priests and and religious leaders like Pat Robertson. I guess I'm a little disappointed.
This is your axe to grind not mine. Mr Robertson does do much beneficial work in this world. His failing is that from his viewpoint there is only one to reach me, through him , then through Jesus. This is untrue. For each of these leaders I would ask that they seek communion with me. To turn away from their scriptures and learn my word directly.
For all eternity? I am a god of the Now, this instant, created fresh and new from what went before. Why would Scripture written for ages long past and for peoples long since vanshed from you world be of value ot you?
Well just because it is worn and dated doen't mean its not pertinent to today's problems and crises. For example the golden Rule which is what the Charter for Compassion is about. What is wrong with using our sacred texts, the Bible, the Torah, the Koran as a starting point to create a better world?
Just remember that the texts were written for a different time and a different people. Question what you read, beware the reigious leader who preaches scripture out of contest. Remember that the authors while divinely inspired were also trying to filter the infinite through a finite brain.
